The Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) tripled the number of agents it has in San Diego because so much fentanyl is coming into the United States from Mexico.
San Diego DEA Special Agent in Charge Shelley Howe says, “it’s no secret where the fentanyl is coming from, the cartels are pushing it and it’s flooding our streets the demand is here.”
The DEA reported that last year it seized enough fentanyl nationwide for every American to have a lethal dose.
