A national phone and online survey released by Rasmussen Reports last week showed President Joe Biden’s rating on immigration and crime should be a concern for the White House.

Just 31 percent of likely U.S. voters rated Biden as excellent or good for his handling of crime and law enforcement issues. That’s a three-point dip from July. Fifty-one percent gave Biden a poor rating for his handling on crime.

Things are worse on the problem down south. Just 27 percent said Biden is excellent or good at handling immigration-related issues. Fifty-four percent said he is poor.

Democrats are a little less rosy in their opinions of Biden as they rate him less favorably now than they did previously. Fifty-seven percent of Democrats rate Biden as excellent or good on crime and law enforcement, a five-point dip from July. He has suffered a two-point slide on the immigration issue since September from voters of his own party (50 percent from 52 percent).

Seventy-eight percent of Republicans rated Biden as poor on immigration. Seventy-seven percent rated him as poor on crime and law enforcement issues. Sixty percent of unaffiliated voters did so on immigration and 56 percent on crime and law enforcement.
