The Black Hawk County Republicans unanimously passed a motion to support Iowa Gov. Kim Reynolds’ statement in support of Texas Governor Greg Abbott’s actions to defend the southern border.

The motion read:

“We, the Republicans of Black Hawk County, fully endorse Governor Kim Reynolds, and her statement of support for Texas Governor, Greg Abbott, and the people of Texas, to their right to self-protection, against invasion, IAW the United States Constitution, Article I, Section 10, Clause 3.”

April Melton proposed the motion and Jim O’Reagan seconded it. Forty-eight members of the central committee were present for the vote.
