Congressman Ken Buck (R-CO) released the following statement after voting against H.R. 2670 – National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2024:

“Today, I voted against funding the NDAA not because I am against supporting our national defense but because its price tag of $886 billion accelerates our country’s trajectory towards fiscal ruin. The Department of Defense has failed five financial audits in a row. Furthermore, the DOD has failed to account for 61% of its $3.5 trillion in assets. This is completely unacceptable and Congress cannot continue to turn a blind eye to the serious waste, fraud, and abuse at the DOD by passing these massive spending packages with no attention to their cost or efficacy.”
