The Chick-fil-A Foundation’s website says it partnered with Covenant House International. According to Liberty Counsel, as well as multiple media reports, Covenant House supports a group that sponsors Drag Queen Story Hour.
“Chick-fi-A gives money to Covenant House which supports a group that sponsors Drag Queen perverts who prey on children,” said Mat Staver, chairman of Liberty Counsel. “This is a complete betrayal. But it is nothing new.”
According to Liberty Counsel, Covenant House was founded by a priest who was sued for molesting the youth who came to his group home looking for food and shelter.
“In stark contrast, Chick-fill-A recently ended their partnership with the Paul Anderson Youth Home,” Staver said. “Paul Anderson was an amazing Christian and an American icon. During the Cold War he lifted 6,270 pounds to take a title away from the Russians.”
Anderson is known for various feats of strength.
“Most importantly, Pual used his platform to talk about his faith in Christ around the world,” Staver said. “And God stirred Paul’s heart to build a home where young men could come and straighten out their lives. Thus, the Paul Anderson Youth Home was founded.”
Liberty Counsel is encouraging people to sign a petition asking Chick-fil-A to “stop caving.”
