It appears moderate/establishment congressional Republicans have isolated a new target now that Congressman Steve King is exiting the House of Representatives.
Congressman Adam Kinzinger as well as outgoing GOP Congressmen Paul Mitchell and Denver Riggleman are publicly ridiculing Congresswoman-elect Marjorie Taylor Greene.
Riggleman, who lost his re-election bid in a primary, said that he and Kinzinger “outrank people calling us traitors, like Marjorie Taylor Greene — we outrank the Queen of Batshit, and I’m sick of it.”
Riggleman said military veterans will get angry if people continue to make it personal.
“What we have to do, is we have to put facts out there and just stop this ridiculous name-calling,” Riggleman said on CNN. “And stop these people that are at Mar-A-Lago talking about, you know, martial law or whatever nonsense they are talking about. We’ve got to get back to facts and policy. If the GOP is going to survive, we better be the Party of ideas and not the party of the Kraken.”
That’s a lot of advice coming from a guy who lost his primary and served one term in Congress.
Greene had tweeted at Kinzinger earlier on Saturday after his tweets that were critical of President Donald J. Trump and his supporters.
“How does it feel to be quote tweeted with resounding approval by Democrats and progressives while you call yourself ‘Republican’ and say #RestoreOurGOP?
“Seventy-five-plus million ‘grifters’ know President Trump’s election was stolen. Don’t worry, traitors @ProjectLincoln will donate to you,” Greene said.
Kinzinger simply retweeted that with three words — “and case closed.”
Mitchell added, “I am sure you are just crushes (sic) Rep. Kinzinger that Greene would attack you so harshly!? Ok – only kidding. She arrives at her opinions only after consulting with the Great QAnon advisors.”
If only these three would take on the Democrats like they do a Republican fighter like Greene.
Greene has committed to join her colleagues in the House to object to the Electoral College certification.
