Council Bluffs resident Fran Mierzwa Parr sued Iowa, Gov. Kim Reynolds and several state officials regarding the state’s law prohibiting mask mandates in Iowa schools.

“I can’t help but think we are going to have a generation of strained family relationships when kids figure out adults sent them to school unvaccinated and unmasked for political purposes,” Fran wrote on Facebook. “What a betrayal of adults in their duty of care to kids. Snap out of it, adults. These games don’t end well.”

Fran has been raising money on Go Fund Me for her lawsuit. And it just so happens that at last two members of the Council Bluffs School Board have contributed to Fran’s lawsuit.

Board President Chris LaFerla contributed $100 while Jill Shudak contributed $50.
