Democrat State Rep. Mary Mascher defended the Ames School District last week after the House Government Oversight Committee hearing on the district’s Black Lives Matter Week of Action.

There were plenty of reprehensible materials made available for teachers to use in their classrooms during the week of indoctrination — including teaching Pre-K and kindergarten students that they can choose to be boys, girls, both, neither or “something else.”

Yet Mascher was upset at some of her colleagues in the Oversight Committee who are working to get to the bottom of what happened in Ames.

“I was extremely disappointed,” Mascher said of the hearing. “First I was disappointed by how the Ames school district staff and administrators were treated by some of the members of the Oversight Committee. I have always believed that when we invite guests into this building, there is only one rule we need to follow — it is the Golden Rule.”

Mascher said the Ames personnel were not treated with dignity and respect.

“There were emails shared with them at this meeting that they had never seen before,” she said. “The interesting fact is these emails came from people pin the Ames District who had never bothered to share their concerns with the administration even though there is clearly a procedure in place for filing complaints.”

Perhaps Mascher doesn’t realize the reason these emails were shared with lawmakers and not Ames personnel is because the people Ames personnel is supposed to be serving do not trust Ames personnel.

Those individuals didn’t reach out to the district because they couldn’t trust the district.

Look at what happens every day in America when a conservative speaks out against Leftist garbage – retaliation or cancellation or both.

She went on to talk about the importance of “diversity training” and how she did not receive a great education herself because she was not taught about the “racial inequities” in America.
