Democrat Tim Ryan made a startling comment when discussing the Republican Party on MSNBC. Take a listen:

“How do we fix all of these broken systems? Some of those answers will come from Republicans. Not the extremists that we’re dealing with every single day. We’ve got to kill and confront that movement. But working with normal, mainstream Republicans…”

Ryan is in a tight battle with Republican J.D. Vance, who is supported by President Donald J. Trump. The latest Real Clear Politics average shows Vance with a 2.3-point lead against Ryan.

Real Clear Politics rates the race as a toss-up and projects it to be a GOP hold.

President Trump won Ohio by about eight points in both 2016 and 2020.
