From CPAC Chairman Matt Schlapp:

“For years, the corrupt political establishment and the mainstream media pushed a LIE onto the American People. They told us that Donald J. Trump colluded with Russia to interfere with the 2016 Presidential Election. Today, Special Counsel John Durham released his report on matters related to intelligence activities and investigations arising out of the 2016 presidential campaigns. Durham’s findings confirm what we knew all along – this was a concerted campaign to undermine and discredit the duly elected President of the United States of America, Donald J. Trump.

Perhaps the most devastating part of Durham’s report are the direct links to the following people in this effort to undermine our democracy: President Barack Obama, Attorney General Loretta Lynch, FBI Director James Comey, and then-Vice President Joe Biden.

The fact that government agencies were used in a partisan way to both spy on and lie about a presidential candidate, and subsequently, the President-Elect of the United States of America, undermines the integrity of our institutions and the democratic process at large.

CPAC strongly condemns this partisan witch hunt and is dedicated to ensuring that every actor involved in this effort to undermine the 2016 presidential election is held accountable to the fullest extent of the law.”
