During Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) Awareness Month, U.S. Senator Joni Ernst (R-IA), a combat veteran, is urging support for veterans facing mental health issues, like PTSD. Ernst highlighted her bill—now law—that helped identify effective programs and approaches in reducing suicide among female veterans.

Last week, Ernst applauded the Trump Administration for putting in place a roadmap for the PREVENTS Task Force to help prevent veteran suicide.
