The Republican Party of Iowa is accusing Congresswoman Cindy Axne of lying about her record when it comes to voting with President Joe Biden.
Last week in Creston, Axne told the audience she isn’t “afraid to get in anybody’s face” who is not doing something right for her district.
“That includes this administration,” she said. “I have stood up to President Biden.”
The Iowa GOP claimed Axne has voted with Joe Biden and Nancy Pelosi “100 percent of the time.”
“When someone starts lying straight to the faces of Iowans, you know their campaign has a problem,” said Republican party of Iowa communications Director Kollin Crompton. “Axne doesn’t have the courage to stand up to her party – she proves it every time she casts a vote. And even that she barely shows up for, but don’t lie to Iowans to cover up your terrible record.”
FACT CHECK: According to Project FiveThirtyEight, Axne’s “Biden score” is 100 percent, which is defined as how often a congressional member votes in line with Joe Biden’s position.
