Ernest Ramirez said he wanted to do the right thing for his 16-year-old son, Ernesto. So, he had his son receive the COVID shot.

Five days after receiving the shot, Ernesto died from complications related to an enlarged heart, according to Ramirez.

Shortly after, the Federal Emergency Management Agency called Ramirez and asked him to change the cause of death for his son to COVID. According to Ramirez, FEMA offered to help him financially in exchange for doing so.

Ernest spoke at a “Defeat the Mandates Rally” in Los Angeles earlier this year. The video took off on Twitter late last week.

Ernesto took the Pfizer vaccine on April 19, 2021. Five days later, he collapsed while playing basketball and died in front of his best friends.

“That day my world ended,” Ernest said. “Junior’s autopsy showed that he had myocarditis… He was the best son a father could ask for. He was my best friend.”

Ramirez said when the media and government said there were “safe and effective vaccines,” he decided to “do the right thing and keep my son safe.”

“This turned out to be the worst decision of my life,” he said. “Suddenly my son was dead, and I was planning his funeral.”

Ramirez said FEMA contacted him and asked him to change the cause of death of his son to COVID so they could help him financially. He told FEMA he’d never do that.

NBC News reported a few months later that there had been an unexpectedly high number of heart complications occurring in young men following the shot.

At that time, there were 226 cases of myocarditis or pericarditis reported in vaccinated people under age 30. It was expected the number would be fewer than 100, according to Dr. Tom Shimabukuro.

The CDC notes myocarditis and pericarditis appear to be a side effect of COVID shots, especially among adolescents and young men.

As for Ernest Ramirez, a GoFundMe set up for his son was de-platformed because it fell under “prohibited content.”
