Rasmussen Reports released a new telephone and online survey that shows 50 percent of American adults believe the media has done a “good” or “excellent” job of covering the COVID-19 crisis.
Twenty-nine percent said the media is doing a poor job.
While the numbers seem surprisingly high, the reality is they are slightly lower than mid-April when it was 53 percent to 24 percent.
Ninty-one percent said they have closely followed news reports of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Thirty-eight percent of Americans believe the media has exaggerated the threat of COVID-19. Fifty-two percent disagree.
