A Republican state representative in the Sunshine State says he wants to rename U.S. Highway 27 “President Donald J. Trump Highway.”
Representative Anthony Sabatini said on Facebook the highway runs through the heartland of Florida, the state that President Trump calls home.
According to the Orlando Sentinel, Sabatini selected Highway 27 because it passes through his home district. Sabatini said he will offer the proposal as an amendment to to one of the larger “catch-all” transportation bills.
Highway 27 is a 481-mile highway that connects Tallahassee to Miami.
