The Epoch Times reports that 49 fully vaccinated New Jersey residents have died from COVID-19, according to health officials.
There have been around 5,300 unvaccinated New Jersey residents who have died with COVID.
Dr. Ed Lifshitz, medical director of the department’s Communicable Disease Service, told The Epoch Times it means the vaccine is about 99.999 percent effective in preventing deaths due to COVID.
As of July 12, The Epoch Times reports nearly 5,500 people have been hospitalized or died despite being fully vaccinated — which means two weeks had passed since their final COVID vaccine shot.
While the death count is at 1,063, it is likely undercounted due to reporting being voluntary.
