I recognize that it is my job to summarize what happens in the Iowa legislature. But on Tuesday, there was an Iowa Senate subcommittee hearing on a bill that is extremely timely, important and brings many strong feelings from every direction.

The subcommittee lasted almost 100 minutes. And there is no way I could be fair to the issue and those who spoke by picking and choosing what you hear. So, if you’re interested, you can listen to the entire thing here.

Perhaps later I will go back and include minute markers for what are highlights in my opinion.
