United States Senator Bill Hagerty (R-TN), a member of the Senate Appropriations Committee, introduced legislation to halt the Biden Administration’s ongoing effort to sell off border wall materials before President Donald Trump takes office.

“It is unconscionable that, weeks before President Trump takes office, the Biden Administration is auctioning off taxpayer-purchased parts of the border wall—for pennies on the dollar—despite that Americans overwhelmingly support its construction,” said Senator Hagerty. “The parts are being sold for roughly five cents to the dollar, which is a deliberate effort to hinder the incoming Trump Administration from carrying out border wall construction. I’m pleased to introduce this legislation that will put an end to these destructive actions that damage President Trump’s ability to secure our southern border.”
