In reference to Mr. Hall’s article.

The question should really be why is Ernst so afraid to acknowledge another valid U.S. Senate candidate on the November ballot? We have reason to believe that she will not accept a debate invitation if Suzanne Herzog is to be included in a debate event because she is afraid of the fact that the independent candidate may be a better debater and have a stronger resume for the office of the U.S. Senate than Greenfield. Ms. Herzog has worked and studied in Washington D.C. for federal statistical government agencies and knows where this administration is dismantling some of our most functional federal agencies by appointing incompetence. She also worked with FEMA after Hurricane Katrina as a Medical Reserve Corps volunteer helping to relocate victims in 2005.

The Herzog campaign has publicly requested debate participation inclusion as the only other candidate for the office besides Ernst and Greenfield to report to the FEC and submit personal financial disclosures to the U.S. Senate ethics committee. (The only other candidate on the ballot- the Libertarian does NOT meet this federal participation or transparency standards).

We clearly understand why Ernst would not want to face a candidate who has attended the two largest public universities and community colleges in the state, is a healthcare expert, completed her economics program at Iowa State with plenty of young farmers and business ag students, is fluent in Spanish, had taken care of people in life and death situations for decades. We respect, honor and appreciate Senator Ernst’s military service but she never put her hands over pulsating gunshot wounds like Suzanne has, and has not dealt with the thousands of Iowans in critical circumstances to the degree Suzanne has either.

So if you want a REAL story- get Ernst to weigh in on including Herzog, the independent candidate in the next debate.

Suzanne Herzog for US Senate
