On Thursday, Washington, DC Mayor Muriel Bowser announced that she will ask the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), funded by U.S. taxpayers, to pay for services DC will provide to illegal immigrants.
“Mayor Bowser wants Iowa taxpayers to bailout DC for its sanctuary city policies and literally pay for the Biden Administration’s failures at the Southern Border — what a slap in the face to hardworking Iowans. DC is experiencing only a fraction of what our border communities face on a daily basis, and FEMA must reject any request to reimburse DC for this.
