Congresswoman Ashley Hinson said on Twitter she is deadset against efforts by congressional Republicans to vacate the chair. Conservative Rep. Matt Gaetz filed the motion to vacate the Speaker’s chair on Monday night.
Hinson wrote:
“I am a HELL NO on the motion to vacate. Matt Gaetz’s grandstanding sideshow is a disgrace — and why so many Iowans are so frustrated with politics in Washington. We need to be working for the American people, not playing political games for Gaetz’s personal benefit. We need to be focused on fighting the Biden agenda, not fighting amongst ourselves.”
