Congresswoman Ashley Hinson (IA-01) released the following statement after voting in favor of the Fiscal Year 2022 National Defense Authorization Act.

“I proudly supported the FY22 NDAA–a strong and prepared U.S. military is key to the safety and security of Iowa families.

“This legislation bolsters our national defense as we face growing security threats around the globe, provides an overdue pay-raise for our troops, strengthens efforts against the Chinese Communist Party, and provides funding for counterterrorism efforts in Afghanistan.

“With extreme partisanship so often getting in the way of important legislation, I’m glad Republicans and Democrats could work together to support our troops with a strong NDAA. It remains a top priority that our military has the resources necessary to defend our country against growing threats around the world.”
