President-elect Donald J. Trump’s border czar had a simple message for attendees of AmericaFest 2024 – the incoming administration is going to secure the border come hell or high water.
“If I offend anybody today, I don’t care,” Homan said. “Some in the media say I’m offensive. I’m OK with that. If I get to live in their minds rent-free that’s kind of cool.”
Homan said he has woken up every morning “pissed off” about what the Biden Administration has done to what was the “most secure border” of his lifetime. All six presidents that Homan has worked for took steps to secure the border because they understood without border security, there couldn’t be strong national security.
“Joe Biden is the first President in the history of this nation who came into office and unsecured the border on purpose,” Homan said. “Not by mismanagement. Not by incompetence. They unsecured the border by design.”
After Trump won, Homan smiled for the first time in a long time, but he said he got angry again because the Biden Administration is still moving illegal immigrants throughout the country, the CBP1 app is still running, pieces of the border wall are being sold at a hefty discount.
“There is no smooth transition,” Homan said. “They’re going to destroy this country up until the last day they’re in office. But I’ve got news, Jan. 20, the greatest President in my lifetime is going to walk into the Oval Office and take this country back.”
Homan said Trump called him a few Fridays ago and asked if he wanted to come fix the border after he had “bitched” about it the last four years.
“I said, ‘Absolutely. I’m back,’” Homan said.
President Trump loves the country and wants to secure the border. But under Biden, sex trafficking has increased more than 600 percent because of the border crisis. Known or suspected terrorists – more than 300 apprehended at the border. Under President Trump, there were 13. Trump ended catch-and-release, but Biden has released at least 8 million illegals into America.
“A secure border saves lives,” Homan said. “For the millions of illegal aliens who have been released into this country in violation of federal law, you’re going home, and Tom Homan is going to make sure that happens.”
Homan said the Biden Administration has created the “biggest national security vulnerability” America has ever seen. There have been more than 2 million known getaways. Those individuals paid more to get away than to be pampered with a flight anywhere they’d like in the country, hotel stays and other benefits. But they did so because they didn’t want to be vetted, Homan said.
After 9-11 our government created a number of databases to vet foreigners. But no threat to the country will go through the process of getting a visa when they can just enter the country through the southern border.
“I don’t know how many terrorists have crossed this border under Joe Biden but someday we’re going to find out,” Homan said. “When that happens we’re going to have one badass President in the White House and that’s Donald Trump who is going to make sure we respond appropriately.”
Homan said he doesn’t care what people say about him, especially if they call him a racist. That’s because he’s seen the carnage illegal immigration creates.
He stood in a trailer with 19 dead aliens who suffocated and were baked to death – including a 5-year-old boy. He’s seen dead aliens on the trail. He’s talked to 9-year-old girls on the trail who were raped multiple times by the cartel.
“They’re animals,” he said. “When you look into a little girl’s eyes – 9 years old – who had adults take everything innocent and pure from her. You look into those eyes, and those eyes have no life in them, her life will never be the same – that’s what pisses me off. Because President Trump had us locked down. He had us locked down. And this administration came in and unlocked it. People die on the border every day. Women are sex trafficked in this country every day. That’s why I’m pissed off. And that’s why the best day in my life was President Trump being re-elected because President Trump saves lives. A secure border saves lives. It isn’t rocket science.”
Homan said public safety and national security threats will be the focus starting on Day 1.
“And Tren de Agua, your days are numbered,” Homan said. “My gang is bigger than your gang. And we’re going to take you out of the country. Who do you think you are coming into the greatest nation on earth and victimizing Americans in this country? Your days are numbered. MS-13, you’re right behind them.”
Homan advised leaders in sanctuary cities that they should feel shame for not removing public safety threats from the community.
“If you’re not going to do it, President Trump and ICE will,” Homan said. “The mayor of Chicago, not a real bright guy, says Tom Homan isn’t welcome in Chicago. Well guess where Tom Homan is going to be day one? Chicago, Illinois. You don’t want me there, come get me.”
In closing, Homan said it isn’t OK to be here illegally and noted it is a crime to enter the country illegally.
“You want to not help? Fine, shame on you,” Homan said of sanctuary city leaders. “You don’t want to help protect your communities? Shame on you. But we’re going to do it for you. You’re not going to stop me. We’re coming. So put up all the roadblocks you want, because we’ll knock them down. And don’t cross that line.”
Homan said anyone who knowingly impedes or conceals an illegal alien from ICE is committing a felony.
“And there will be consequences,” Homan said. “We will not let you prevent us from saving American communities from illegal alien crime. It’s not going to happen. We’re coming.”
When sanctuary cities don’t allow officials into the local jails to take custody of the illegal alien, Homan said he will send agents into the community to find the bad guy. And those illegals will likely be around other illegals who aren’t a priority for removal but they’ll remove them too.
