The Iowa Lakes Patriots, a newly formed grassroots group in the Lakes area, is dedicating a tribute to the thirteen fallen, the countless injured and those left behind during the withdrawal from Afghanistan in August.
Thirteen white crosses and thirteen American flags will be on the lawn of the American Legion along Hwy 71 in Milford. The dedication ceremony on the grounds of the Milford American Legion is on November 6th at noon.
The ceremony will include prayer, dedication and an honor guard salute. Please bring red ribbons for blood loss and yellow ribbons for those left behind to flutter in the breeze during the ceremony.
The thirteen crosses and American flags will be in front of the Legion through Veterans Day.
