Democrat State Representatives Dave Jacoby and Chuck Isenhart used debate on the Ethanol Mandate bill to thank President Joe Biden for his commitment to renewable fuels.

“I want to thank President Joe Biden,” Jacoby said. “I want to thank him for his commitment to renewable fuels. I’m glad to see that people in this chamber were able to get together, work out their differences and do what’s best for the state of Iowa…so, in the midst of all the thank yous, I want to thank President Joe Biden and his commitment to renewable fuels.”

Isenhart praised the Biden Infrastructure bill.

“We need to give credit to President Biden and the federal bipartisan infrastructure act that is bringing many more tens of millions of dollars to this state that will help us over the next few years fill in and then some the gap that we’re creating with this bill,” Isenhart said. “So, I thank the Biden Administration for his commitment to not only biofuels, but also for the transportation infrastructure that we so depend upon in a rural state like Iowa.”
