One of the questions that conservatives have been asking for a long time and still don’t have many answers to is, how do we reach young people?

American children, for the most part, grow up in family situations where both parents work outside the home, or they are being raised by a single parent. Either way, they attend public schools, which have become government indoctrination centers and not educational facilities.

Being indoctrinated in Leftist ideology, it is difficult for them to come to recognize that they have been lied to all their lives. Busy parents, who likewise have grown up in public school, either don’t have the time, or don’t take the time, to examine what their children are being taught and bring correction to the falsehoods and “doctrines of demons” that their children are being fed daily.

One of the bright spots in this dilemma is the growth of homeschooling. After the pandemic hit and schools were shut down, parents became more aware of the filth and racist ideology that had infiltrated the public education establishment. Those who were able, and some also who made significant sacrifices, began to teach their young ones themselves. This explains somewhat why some of our young people tend to have more conservative ideals. Of course, the growth of church-related private schools has also aided in this turning away from government indoctrination centers.

But for those who are still held captive in the government system, how do we communicate Biblical truth and conservative ideas in a way that opens their eyes and allows them to think clearly about life and the future of America?

STAND has tackled this issue by creating Youth Taking a STAND (YTS). Young people, ages 16-30, from all over the country are invited to participate in an America-loving organization that fosters patriotism and love for God and country. We hope to partner with like-minded organizations like Texas Youth Summit, founded by this week’s guest.

Christian Collins is the president and founder of the Texas Youth Summit, a non-profit that hosts some of the most influential political and religious leaders in the country, dedicated to educating high school and college-age youth with Judeo-Christian and Conservative values.

Christian is an experienced consultant, specializing in public relations and strategic communication for political campaigns, non-profits, and businesses.

Growing up, Christian’s parents were missionaries overseas and they pastored a church in Texas, so being with people of faith has always felt like home to him. Today, Christian is an activist, passionate about organizing faith leaders around causes such as ending abortion, supporting religious liberty, and voting. He is also a regular speaker on college campuses and churches, to encourage youth and Evangelicals to join the fight to save America.

Christian hosts a podcast, The Christian Collins Show, that explains the news and hosts some of our nation’s top Conservative leaders, and he authored a book, “Second Wind: A 365 Day Daily Devotional to Pursuing God’s Greater Calling.” Christian holds a B.A. degree in Government from the University of Texas and two M.A. degrees in Organizational Communication and Christian Ministry from Liberty University. Christian has also made several appearances on Newsmax, One America News, Real America’s Voice, Victory Channel, and The Blaze.

Christian got his start in politics serving as a part of Senator Ted Cruz’s political team and as campaign manager for Congressman Kevin Brady. In 2022, he was a candidate for U.S. Congress to replace outgoing Congressman Brady in Texas’ 8th District.

Christian is an avid runner and novice fisherman, and an adjunct instructor of Speech Communication at Lone Star College, and member of Church Project in Montgomery County, Texas, where he lives.
