Who is going to hold the Biden Administration accountable for the rampant censorship of Covid information? The administration’s involvement in censorship has been exposed by the release of the Twitter files, as well as emails that emerged in the discovery phase of Missouri v. Biden, a free-speech case brought by the attorneys general of Missouri and Louisiana and four private plaintiffs, including leading epidemiologists.
Who can we turn to in order to see that those responsible for violating our First Amendment rights are held accountable?
The Republican Study Committee (RSC) has served as the conservative caucus of House Republicans and a leading influencer on the Right since its original founding in 1973.
In 1973, Rep. Phil Crane (R-IL) and others founded the RSC and gave conservatives a place to call home in the House of Representatives.
The RSC exists to bring like-minded House members together to promote a strong, principled legislative agenda that will limit government, strengthen our national defense, boost America’s economy, preserve traditional values, and balance our budget.
The RSC provides the tools and research that members of Congress need to craft and advance policies that will benefit the American people. It also provides a forum for like-minded members to come together to support common causes and challenge the status quo. By doing so, the RSC ensures that conservatives have a powerful voice on every issue coming before the House, whether it is the economy, health care, defense, social safety net reform, or Washington’s dangerous, out-of-control spending.
The RSC believes that the appropriate role of a limited government is to protect liberty, opportunity, and security, and that it is the responsibility of this generation to preserve them for the next. They believe that more government is the problem, not the solution, for the toughest issues facing our nation. The RSC believes that there is no limit to the ingenuity, innovation, and prosperity Americans create when allowed to live their lives freely, according to their beliefs. They believe that with conservative commitment today, America’s brightest days lie ahead.
Rep. Kevin Hern was born on an Air Force Base, and gained an early appreciation for the sacrifices that military families make. In high school, Kevin earned an Architectural Drafting Certificate at a Career Technology school, which he used to work and pay for his Engineering degree. Later in life, he earned his MBA.
After undergrad, Kevin went on to work as an Aerospace Engineer for Rockwell International. When the Space Shuttle Challenger disaster rocked the aerospace industry, Kevin was out of work. He began saving to purchase his first McDonald’s Restaurant by starting and operating small business ventures: writing computer programs to automate tasks for businesses, real estate, and even hog farming.
In 1997, Kevin literally sold the farm to buy his first McDonald’s restaurant in North Little Rock, Arkansas. In 1999, he purchased two McDonald’s restaurants in Muskogee, Oklahoma, moving his family to the Sooner State. He grew that organization over the next decade; eventually owning 24 McDonald’s restaurants that employed thousands of people in Northeastern Oklahoma.
Kevin has worked across every aisle, serving in various leadership positions within the McDonald’s system – what he dubs the most grassroots business in the world. He served 13 years on the National Leadership Team that represented all 3,500+ U.S. Franchisees, 8 years as the Chairman of the Franchise Relations Team, and 5 years as the Chairman of the Systems Economic Team.
In addition to McDonald’s, Kevin has been a very successful entrepreneur in the areas of banking, manufacturing, real estate development, multiple technology companies, and sports publishing.
He uses his vast experiences to help aspiring entrepreneurs create new businesses so they can pursue their American Dream.
Kevin Hern was sworn into Congress on November 13th, 2018. Kevin and his wife Tammy live in Tulsa and have three children and two grandchildren. They are members at the Church at Battle Creek.
