On Monday, December 30, several arrests occurred as a result of a joint investigation between the Sioux Center Police Department and the Sioux County Sheriff’s Office; Efrain Ramirez, age 48, of Sioux Center, IA, Alberto Hernandez, age 43, of Rock Valley, IA, Juan Marques, age 23, of Orange City, IA, Gary Stallings, age 45, Kandi Senski, age 33, and Jehsi Boren, age 29, all of Battle Creek, IA.
The arrests stemmed from a several month-long investigation into drug and weapon trafficking. Several search warrants were simultaneously executed at area residences, a dairy and illegal drugs and weapons were recovered.
All were transported to the Sioux County Jail where Ramiriez was charged with delivery of a controlled substance and one count of child endangerment; Hernandez was charged with delivery of a controlled substance and three counts of child endangerment; Marques was charged with delivery of a controlled substance; Stallings was charged with trafficking stolen weapons, second degree theft and felon in possession of a firearm; Senski was charged with trafficking stolen firearms; Boren was charged with trafficking stolen weapons, second degree theft, felon in possession of a firearm and possession of burglary tools.
