In the 1500’s a battle raged in the church- does the Earth revolve around the sun or does the sun revolve over the top of the Earth, being small and local?
Genesis 1 says that God created day and night before He created the sun and the moon. On the second day He created just one thing- the firmament. Some translations say expanse, some say vault- some even say sky but the Bible says this of it -“And God said, Let there be a firmament in the midst of the waters, and let it divide the waters from the waters. And God made the firmament, and divided the waters which were under the firmament from the waters which were above the firmament: and it was so. And God called the firmament Heaven.” By this we know that the firmament is solid enough to hold the waters back that are above the firmament.
On the fourth day He created the sun, moon and stars. “And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days and years: and let them be for lights in the firmament of heaven to give light upon the earth: and it was so. And God made the two great lights; the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night: he made the stars also. And God set them in the firmament of heaven to give light upon the earth…” .
By this we know that the moon is a luminary and that the sun and moon are close. Actually, just by looking at the moon you can see it has its own light. When I was young, I was taught that the sun shines on the moon and the crescent was made by Earth’s shadow yet often the sun and the moon are in the sky at the same time. Looking with fresh eyes I can see that that makes no sense. NASA must have realized that too so now they claim that the sun’s light reflects off the Earth and onto the moon which really makes less sense.
This is a quote from Martin Luther, the patriarch of Lutheranism, in the year 1539,
“There is talk of a new astrologer who wants to prove that the earth moves and goes around instead of the sky, the sun, the moon, just as if somebody were moving in a carriage or ship might hold that he was sitting still and at rest while the earth and the trees walked and moved. But that is how things are nowadays: when a man wishes to be clever he must…invent something special, and the way he does it must needs be the best! The fool wants to turn the whole art of astronomy upside-down. However, as Holy Scripture tells us, so did Joshua bid the sun to stand still and not the earth.” This was the reason that Galileo’s thoughts were considered blasphemous, it is because his words flew in the face of the Word of God.
There is a documentary called Heliosorcery by Chris Sparks of Earthen Vessels Ministry explaining how men like Descartes, Copernicus, Galileo and Newton were studying the occult when they came up with this idea. Generally, occultic, pagan worship is worship of the sun so a Heliocentric view was preferred. Man has often wanted to remove God for the reason that man wants to do what man wants to do. The Heliocentric lie “proves” the Bible false.
These verses describe an unmoving Earth;
1 Chronicles 16:30 “…tremble before Him, all the earth. The world is firmly established; it cannot be moved.
Psalm 33:8-9 “Let all the earth fear the LORD; let all the people of the world revere Him. For He spoke, and it came to be; He commanded, and it stood firm.”
Psalm 93:1 “The LORD reigns! He is robed in majesty; the LORD has clothed and armed Himself with strength. The world indeed is firmly established; it cannot be moved.”
Psalm 96:10 “Declare among the nations: “The LORD reigns!” The world is firmly established; it cannot be moved; He will judge the peoples with equity.”
Psalm 104:5 “He set the earth on its foundations, never to be moved.”
Isaiah 14:7 “The whole earth is at rest, and is quiet: they break forth into singing.”
Zechariah 1:11 “And they answered the angel of the LORD that stood among the myrtle trees, and said, We have walked to and fro through the earth, and, behold, all the earth sitteth still, and is at rest.”
I Samuel 2:8, “He raiseth up the poor out of the dust, He lifteth up the needy from the dunghill, To make them sit with princes, And inherit the throne of glory: For the pillars of the earth are Jehovah’s, And he hath set the world upon them.”
This is just a small sampling, there are many, many more. One thing is certain that there are NO verses that support Heliocentrism.
We are in a spiritual battle. It is not just good and evil in the sense of abortion. It is a fight for your mind. Who are you going to believe? Who are you going to put your faith in? Who are you going to derive your worth from? The same people who tell you that the Earth is a spinning ball also tell you that the Earth is billions of years old, that we climbed out of primordial goo, that we were cavemen. They tell us Climate Change is real and most of our “learned scholars” believe these lies.
Bullets move at 800-1200 mph. They tell us the Earth is spinning at 1000 mph while we hurtle around the sun at 66,600 mph. All that while the Milky Way moves at 550,000 mph. Do you feel like you are moving? We can feel movement in a car, on a plane, on a ship yet somehow, we cannot feel the Earth move? All this movement yet Orion’s belt stays lined up with the Pyramids of Giza year after year? All this supposed movement and Polaris stays fixed in our nighttime sky age after age?
There is another video that poses many questions such as this called “Eric Dubay- 200 Proofs that Earth is Not a Spinning Ball”. Eric is not a Christian man but his arguments are sound. I have tried to find arguments that “debunk” these. Many videos say they do but if you watch them, they do not. Even the best Neil deGrasse Tyson could come up with is “we have video of a spinning ball from space”. I have seen Jurassic Park yet do not believe there is an island in the Pacific with a dinosaur park. Bill Nye the Science Guy said that one cannot see Spain from North America’s East Coast. Is that really the best they can do? Has he never heard of the vanishing point?
I know, the implications of this lie are massive. That is the reason it is incredibly important. So many Christians I have come across were shocked that they missed this all these years. God is opening the eyes of some now to let them see it.
Still, many refuse to see it. They want to believe they can see the emperor’s new clothes. They want the powers that be in this world to be right. They want to believe the world, to be called good and clever by men. They want to believe that the grades and degrees given to them by men prove their worth, not just that they are fine, proper citizens of the elite’s regime.
If you choose to believe the Scripture you will be ridiculed and scorned. Most of the people I know who claim to believe in God do not believe there is a firmament. It is like a kick in the gut every time I hear one who claims God defending the lies of man. I wonder what else they truly do not believe of The Word.
The Bible warns us, “This people honoreth me with their lips; But their heart is far from me. But in vain do they worship me, Teaching as their doctrines the precepts of men.” Matthew 15:8-9
There are grievous lies on the Earth that have infiltrated every aspect of our lives, including the manmade church. For many years I assumed I knew what the Scriptures said so I did not read them myself. You must read them. The Bible tells us to “Study to show ourselves approved.” Consider how much time you have spent learning the precepts of men and how much time you have spent in the Word of God. Will you be approved?
