A new Rasmussen Reports national phone and online survey shows just 43 percent of likely U.S. voters believe Vice President Kamala Harris is qualified to assume the duties of the presidency.
While 29 percent said they think she is very qualified, 47 percent say she is not at all qualified. In fact, 55 percent said Harris is not qualified to assume the duties of the presidency.
Most voters believe Harris will relieve President Joe Biden prior to his re-election in 2024 (51 percent). That includes 29 percent who said it is very likely.
Just 41 percent of voters said they have a favorable impression of Harris. Fifty-six percent said they have an unfavorable view.
There is a huge gap for Harris in those who feel strongly. Just 24 percent hold a very favorable view while 47 percent said it is very unfavorable.
Sixty-four percent of unaffiliated voters have an unfavorable view of Harris while 31 percent have a favorable impression.
Only seven percent of Republicans and 20 percent of unaffiliated voters agree that Harris is very qualified to assume the duties of the presidency.
