A new Rasmussen Reports national phone and online survey shows most voters believe prevention of cheating is more important than making it easier to vote.
In fact, only 29 percent of Likely U.S. voters say Voter ID laws discriminate against some voters. Sixty-two percent said voter ID laws do not discriminate.
Fifty-one percent of voters believe it is likely that cheating affected the outcome of the 2020 presidential election. That number includes 35 percent of voters who say it is very likely cheating affected the election.
While 74 percent of Republicans believe it is likely the result was affected by cheating, only 30 percent of Democrats agree. More importantly, 51 percent of unaffiliated voters agree.
In November, a Rasmussen Reports survey showed 47 percent of voters believed it was likely Democrats stole votes or destroyed pro-Trump ballots in several states to make certain a Biden victory.
Twenty-two percent of voters say it is currently too hard to vote. Thirty-four percent say it is too easy.
