Meghan McCain, the daughter of former Sen. John McCain, tweeted support for Congresswoman Liz Cheney on Tuesday. Cheney is facing an uphill climb in her primary challenge.
“Liz Cheney has guts, is an original and goes against the grain and MAGA kool aid drinking group think that’s a cancer in GOP leadership,” McCain said. “She should be commended no matter what happens today.”
Cheney is expected to be blown out in today’s election after leading the Republican opposition against President Donald J. Trump.
