Republican Congresswoman Mariannette Miller-Meeks, vice chair of the so-called Conservative Climate Caucus, combined with Congresswoman Angie Craig to introduce the Flex Fuel Fairness Act of 2023. Representatives Ashley Hinson and Randy Feenstra are among the cosponsors.

Miller-Meeks said the bill is intended to help make for a “cleaner energy future with options to lower carbon emissions.” She said it is “imperative to amplify solutions like flex fuel vehicles” and to make sure they are included as a low-carbon option.

Craig said renewable fuels are a “solution we can implement to combat climate change right now.”
