On July 13, the U.S. House of Representatives held a vote on an amendment from Rep. Warren Davidson. The amendment, according to Congressman Thomas Massie, would have required a strategy for U.S. involvement in Ukraine.

Seems relatively straightforward, but not in D.C. The amendment failed 301-129.

Among Iowa representatives, only Congressman Zach Nunn voted in support. Representatives Randy Feenstra, Ashley Hinson and Mariannette Miller-Meeks voted against requiring a strategy for U.S. involvement in Ukraine.

Amendment No. 24 required the President, in coordination with the Secretary of Defense and Secretary of State, to develop and submit a report to Congress that contains a strategy for U.S. involvement in Ukraine.

The three-page amendment can be read here.

Nunn was also the only Iowa Republican to vote in support of a prohibition on the sale and transfer of cluster munitions to Ukraine.
