The Mike Pence for President campaign today announced it informed the Republican National Committee (RNC) of the campaign’s qualification for the debate after crossing the 40,000 donor threshold on Monday. The campaign also became the first to submit its donor count verification to the RNC.

The Pence for President campaign reached the 40,000 donor mark in just nine (9) weeks, faster than Nikki Haley (21 weeks), Vivek Ramaswamy (21 weeks), and Tim Scott (13 weeks). The campaign also chose not to employ schemes, giveaways, or gimmicks used by other campaigns.

Mike Pence made quick and easy work of the donor threshold and he’s looking forward to a substantive debate about the issues important to the American people,” said Pence communications adviser Devin O’Malley. “Hopefully, former President Trump has the courage to show up.”

Pence received 200 unique donors from 40 states, far exceeding the RNC’s requirements of 200 donors from 20 states. This helps put Pence well on his way to meet the requirements for the second RNC debate.

Donors are responding to Pence’s message of being the most principled conservative in the race, with unparalleled experience, with unmatched character, and with a positive vision for the future of the United States. Pence was the first candidate to release an economic policy plan and will today release an energy policy plan.

Pence will return to Iowa later this week with a visit to Davenport and to the Iowa State Fair.
