While most likely voters have at least a somewhat favorable view of President Joe Biden, his numbers are not better than those of President Donald J. Trump.

Fifty-one percent of likely U.S. voters have at least a somewhat favorable opinion of Biden — 33 percent have a very favorable opinion. But 48 percent view Biden unfavorably, including 39 percent who view him very unfavorably.

The same Rasmussen Reports national phone and online survey showed Trump’s total favorability at 52 percent, with 34 percent saying they have a very favorable opinion. Forty-six percent reported an unfavorable opinion, including 38 percent whose opinion is very unfavorable.

President Barack Obama’s favorability is a tick higher yet at 55 percent. Forty-three percent of voters view Obama unfavorably.

Interestingly, 57 percent of black voters have a very favorable opinion of Obama but only 45 percent view Biden very favorably. Black voters who view Biden as very unfavorable is at 19 percent, while that number is just nine percent for Obama.

Thirty-nine percent of unaffiliated voters hold a very unfavorable opinion of Biden, which is the same as Trump.
