Bacon represents Nebraska’s Second District, which awards its own Electoral College vote to the candidate who wins the district. Joe Biden won District 2 by about 23,000 votes.

Bacon won re-election with 171,071 votes. Biden won the district with 175,454 votes. Kara Eastman, Bacon’s opponent, finished with 155,706 votes. Trump received 152,813 votes.

Bacon previously said he would like to see a new candidate run for President rather than Trump in 2024.
