Caleb Primrose is running for vice-chair of the Central Iowa Young Republicans. Here is his response when asked why he is a conservative:
“I have had many people ask me why am I a conservative. I have many reasons why I am a conservative. But the main reason is my family raised me on conservative beliefs. Some of those are making sure God and family come first. God has had a huge impact on my life. I also believe in free markets and making sure there is a way small businesses can thrive. I am strongly against abortion and believe God gave everyone the right to have a life on this earth. Basically in short I can go on and on about why I believe the values I believe. It comes down to God and family and making sure we hold true to what the constitution says. The constitution was written as a framework for America. If we forget about our constitution then our conservative beliefs will be jeopardized. Also making sure we stay true to what the constitution says about our three rights in the constitution life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. Also, we need to remember we are one nation UNDER God. To me staying true to these values and being able to have free markets, freedom of speech, the right to bear arms and knowing what the constitution says should be accepted and followed is why I am a very strong conservative.”
