In the early morning hours of dissecting a Democrat defeat on MSNBC, former Obama Press Secretary Jen Psaki discussed the issue of transgenderism and highlighted it as an issue President Donald J. Trump used to campaign.

Psaki said it is “very much a morality issue.”

“Young people are born one gender and are another gender,” Psaki said during a panel discussion with four other people.

None of those people pushed back on her claim.

Psaki said Republicans have made the issue into a “wedge issue” and a “cruelty issue.”

“They’ve successfully brought people to their side by suggesting, which is ludicrous, that people are going to be sent to school and their teachers are going to change their gender and send them home. That’s not factual, it’s not accurate, it’s cruel, it’s harsh.”

Former RNC Chairman Michael Steele noted absent other messaging, that is going to stick with voters. The panel chalked it up to a “disinformation problem.”

Steele actually did a good job of highlighting the fact that Democrats simply are failing to relate to average Americans.

“America will always tell you what they want, you just need to listen to what they’re telling you,” Steele said. “(Trump) did.”

One of the other panelists said that Trump didn’t listen to what the country wanted in reality.

“It’s not what the reality is for us,” Steele said. “It’s what it is for them and they believed he did and that’s the bottom line.”
