Republican Rep. Brooke Boden had a simple message to share during a group Zoom call with Rep. Steven Holt and other House Republicans.
“I believe that where there is risk there must be a choice,” she said. “And there absolutely is a risk with this vaccine.”
Boden said it is important to stand up to the federal government, which she said is “infringing on our individual rights.”
“And at this time, I think it’s imperative that we work together and we are as a state legislature to find answers for our citizens,” she said. “We’re listening to you. You matter. It’s not a quick process, but it’s one that I want you to be ensured that we are working on and it is time for us to stand up and say yes, absolutely, your liberties we do prize and your rights we will maintain.”
