House File 2166 was proposed by Rep. Chris Hagenow. It’s an act increasing the speed limit on certain roads.
Current law provides that the speed limit for all vehicular traffic is 55 miles per hour unless otherwise provided for by other speed restrictions. The speed limit on fully controlled-access, divided, multi-laned highways is 65 miles per hour. The speed limit on highways that are part of the interstate road system is 70 miles per hour.
The bill provides that the speed limit for all vehicular traffic not otherwise provided for is 60 miles per hour. The speed limit on fully controlled-access, divided, multi-laned highways is 70 miles per hour. The speed limit on highways that are part of the interstate road system is 75 miles per hour.
