A new report from Bloomberg this morning highlights a potentially “humiliating loss in Iowa” for Joe Biden. Despite a previously humiliating loss in Iowa, it appears the twice-failed presidential candidate has learned nothing from his mistakes. So in case Biden’s team needs a refresher, here are four things you shouldn’t do when running for president – courtesy of the former vice president.

1. Find yourself a good state director. Joe Biden’s Iowa state director doesn’t live in Iowa. In Bloomberg’s bombshell report, Democrats note that “the weakness of the campaign’s outreach to key officials” is a result of Biden’s state director not living in Iowa full-time.
2. Learn from your mistakes. Bloomberg notes that Biden’s team believes an Iowa loss won’t be the final nail in their presidential coffin. However, a look at presidential elections past show that placement in the Iowa caucuses can make or break a campaign. But don’t take history’s word for it, just look at Biden’s last two presidential bids.
3. Invest in Iowa. If it wasn’t clear that Biden and his team aren’t focused on Iowa, just take a look at the Des Moines Register presidential tracker. Since December 8, 2016, Biden has held just 41 events over 22 days. He is currently ranked 20^th out of 25 announced presidential candidates for events in Iowa.
4. Don’t insult caucusgoers. While Biden is known for his gaffe-laden remarks, the former VP has set his sights on Iowans on several occasions. While Biden has previously shown disgust when talking about campaigning in Iowa, his latest comments that a $1,200 tax cut is “negligible” shows just how out-of-touch he is with the nation’s heartland.

Bottom line: If Joe Biden can’t run a successful campaign in Iowa, it’s clear his chances of running a successful bid for President of the United States are nonexistent.
