United States Sen. Joni Ernst indicated she wouldn’t favor expelling or censuring Republican senators — including Sen. Ted Cruz and Sen. Josh Hawley — who led the charge against certifying the results of the Electoral College.

But, the Des Moines Register reported, Ernst criticized those colleagues.

“I think history will not look kindly upon those that abdicated their constitutional authorities,” she said.

Ernst said it is time to “move on.”

“Let’s get President Biden into place,” she said. “Let’s get the new administration going and let’s start healing our nation.”

Ernst said the Jan. 6 protest at the U.S. Capitol was “anarchy.”
