Sen. Chuck Grassley was asked about Merrick Garland being nominated for the Attorney General position by President Joe Biden.

Garland was also nominated for the Supreme Court by President Barack Obama, but never received Senate confirmation hearings.

Grassley said he thinks Garland “looks” good for the Attorney General position to him.

“I think the fact that we’ve had previous attorney generals of all stripes, both Republicans and Democrats, that have put in a good word for him,” Grassley said. “The questions that I’ve asked, he’s done a pretty good job of answering them. It’s hard to get definitive answers when you’re asking kind of hypothetical questions, but he’s done a pretty good job and I think that as of now I would probably vote for him.”

While he seems favorable now, Grassley added after reading all the answers to questions he has been asked, he could change his mind.
