It’s a big day in Senate subcommittees. Sports betting, elimination of certificate of need and a neutrality amendment on abortion will all be featured.

SSB 1073: Senate Study Bill 1073 was proposed by the Attorney General. It’s an act relating to older individuals and dependent adults and creating certain criminal offenses and civil actions.

SSB 1050: Senate Study Bill 1050 was proposed by the Department of Transportation. It’s an act relating to required notices to the Department of Transportation regarding certain registered aircraft.

SSB 1016: Senate Study Bill 1016 was proposed by Sen. Brad Zaun. It’s an act relating to expert witness testimony in child sexual abuse and child endangerment cases.

SF 18: Senate File 18 was filed by Sen. Brad Zaun. It’s an act relating to the elimination of certificate of need process relating to the development of a new or changed institutional health service.

SJR 9: Senate Joint Resolution 9 was proposed by Sen. Jake Chapman. It’s a resolution proposing an amendment to the Iowa Constitution stating the Iowa Constitution does not secure or protect a right to or require the funding of abortion.

SSB 1079: Senate Study Bill 1079 was proposed by Sen. Roby Smith. It’s an act relating to matters under the purview of the Iowa Lottery Authority, including authorization to conduct sports betting as a lottery game.

SSB 1080: Senate Study Bill 1080 was proposed by Sen. Roby Smith. It’s an act relating to the conduct of sports betting by gambling licensees.

SSB 1081: Senate Study Bill 1081 was proposed by Sen. Roby Smith. It’s an act relating to wagering, by providing for fantasy sports contests and sports wagering, providing for taxes and fees.

SSB 1100: Senate Study Bill 1100 was proposed by Sen. Roby Smith. It’s an act relating to the conduct of sports betting, providing for taxes, and making penalties applicable.

SF 171: Senate File 171 was filed by Sen. Amy Sinclair. It’s an act relating to public school funding by modifying provisions relating to the regular program state cost per pupil, making appropriations to the transportation equity fund, and including the effective date provisions.

SF 86: Senate File 86 was filed by Sen. Waylon Brown. It’s an act requiring the Department of Natural Resources to include anatomical donor symbols on certain licenses.

SSB 1101: Senate Study Bill 1101 was proposed by Sen. Brad Zaun. It’s an act relating to the membership and procedures of the state judicial nominating commission and district judicial nominating commission and to the selection and qualifications of judges, associate judges, and the chief justice.

SF 141: Senate File 141 was filed by Sen. Zach Whiting. It’s an act providing for decennial approval of administrative rules by the General Assembly and related procedures and including the effective date provisions.
