Liberty Counsel founder and chairman, Mat Staver, wrote today about a Marine who committed suicide after being threatened with dishonorable discharge due to his religious objection to the COVID shots.

“The shot has now cost more Marine lives than the virus,” a friend of the dead Marine said.

It was Dec. 21 — days before Christmas — when *Jonathan* took a call from the mental health services division of his unit. The division was doing wellness checks on every member because a fellow platoon mate — a friend of Jonathan — had committed suicide.

Jonathan asked what happened and the mental health counselor said the fallen Marine “was being administratively separated for refusing the COVID vaccine.”

“Ever since Joe Biden announced his unlawful shot mandates, the brave men and women of our U.S. military have been bullied, abused and cajoled to reject their religious convictions and to take Joe’s jabs,” Staver wrote. “Refusal to accept COVID shots can result in removal from the armed forces, forfeiture of all accumulated and future benefits, and repayment of education and training.”

The Marine who committed suicide was highly decorated, earning the unit’s “Iron Man” award for physical fitness.

“But Joe Biden’s Department of Defense apparently didn’t care about that Marine’s skills, dedication or decorations,” Staver wrote. “All Biden’s Department of Defense cared about was purging the Marine Corps of the religious faithful who would defy his unlawful orders.”

Staver wrote several chaplains who are co-plaintiffs in Liberty Counsel’s class-action lawsuit Navy SEAL 1 v. Biden have reported a “massive increase” in counseling calls.

“Repeatedly, these chaplains have warned that the abusive threats to military members would send the suicide rate higher,” Staver wrote. “And now Jonathan’s friend is dead…all because he sought his legal and rightful religious exemption to Biden’s jab.”

The Department of Defense is expected to report to the federal judge today as to how they’ve handled the thousands of religious exemptions — none of which have been approved.
