Corey Lewandowski was a special surprise guest Friday night at the Pottawattamie County Lincoln-Reagan Dinner. Lewandowski served as campaign manager for Donald Trump’s 2016 campaign from January 2015 until June 2016.
Lewandowski highlighted the importance of Sen. Joni Ernst being re-elected.
“This President has appointed and confirmed more than 200 federal judges, including two amazing Supreme Court justices,” Lewandowski said. “What does that mean? It means it fundamentally transforms our judiciary so that we are no longer legislating from the bench. We have constitutional conservatives who go out and understand what our forefathers meant when they wrote the Constitution and the jurisprudence that goes along with it.
“We have been so successful in this administration of appointing judges, that the Left is very afraid.”
Lewandowski speculated the winner of the 2020 election would appoint two, if not three, more Supreme Court justices.
“(Trump) may have an opportunity to have a total of five Supreme Court justices appointed for life to change not only your life, but to change the next generation’s life. And that is so important to us,” Lewandowski said.
Despite the media’s attack on Justice Kavanaugh, Lewandowski said Republican senators saw through it and confirmed Kavanaugh. But if Democrats get control of the Senate, there will be one requirement of justices.
“Chuck Schumer, dick Durbin and the radical Left, they will ensure that the only criteria to be on the Supreme Court is that you are pro-abortion,” he said. “That is their litmus test, that’s what they care about and that’s what they will do to this country if they take control of the Senate.”
Lewandowski predicted Trump would win in Iowa. He said he thinks he’ll carry Minnesota as well, which is something no Republican has done since 1972.
“We’ll have a larger electoral victory in 2020 than we did in 2016, but it all doesn’t matter if we don’t keep control of the Senate and send Nancy Hair Salon Pelosi back home,” Lewandowski said.
