A new Rasmussen Reports national phone and online survey shows that while only 45 percent of likely U.S. voters believe people should be required to wear masks in public places — even if they’ve been fully vaccinated — 66 percent of Democrats believe people — even those fully vaccinated — should be required to wear masks in public places.
That view is shared with only 26 percent of Republicans and 39 percent of unaffiliated voters. Sixty-six percent of Republicans and 52 percent of unaffiliated voters oppose requiring masks in public for vaccinated people.
Sixty-three percent of Democrats also say people should be required to get vaccinated against COVID, even if they’ve had the virus. Just 24 percent of Republicans and 35 percent of unaffiliated voters agree.
Sixty-seven percent of voters who said they were previously diagnosed with or tested positive for COVID have also received the vaccine.
