Isn’t it embarrassing when you figure out that something you have been saying is just not true? That has happened to me. I kept telling people to not worry, that God is in control. God is not in control, not of the events on the Earth.

In the beginning (Genesis 1) God created man and gave him dominion over the Earth. Adam and Eve then chose not to listen to God and their dominion was taken by Satan. Satan is now god of this world. (II Corinthians 4:4) Satan is our god until we turn and accept Christ as our God. Upon accepting Christ as Lord we are filled with the Spirit of God. We become spiritually alive and a new creation. The Bible tells us that “greater is He that is in us than he that is in the world”. (I John 4:4) At that point we have the power to conquer Satan because we are children of God, joint-heirs with Christ. (Romans 8:17)

It is then through the prayer of faith that we can change the world by bringing heaven to Earth. In the Lord’s prayer Jesus taught us to pray “thy kingdom come, thy will be done on Earth as it is in Heaven”. We bring what is God’s will to Earth through prayer. In 2 Kings 6:15-18 we can see how through prayer we can even command the angels of God to our defense.

We are to love our enemies and pray for those that persecute us. (Luke 6:27-28) We are only here for a short time and what we do has eternal consequences, eternal rewards.

I encourage all to become children of God, ask forgiveness for being an enemy of God, to obey His word and then to pray for His will to shape our country, our Earth. Many people are scared and confused. They need a Savior. They need to know they can become children of the Lord Almighty by calling on the name of Jesus (Romans 10:13) and then have the right to cry “Abba! Father!” for their every need.
