There are a few subcommittee meetings scheduled in the Iowa Legislature for today, Jan. 10.

House Study Bill 502 will be discussed at noon in the House Lounge. The bill relates to the Medicaid reimbursement rate for psychiatric medical institutions for children. Representatives Hans Wilz, Eddie Andrews and Timi Brown-Powers will serve on the subcommittee.

The Iowa Mental Health Advocacy group is registered for the bill while many others are undecided.

Senate File 255 will be discussed at 1 p.m. in Room 217. The bill relates to the allocation of nonresident deer hunting licenses. Senators Jesse Green, Sarah Trone Garriott and Dan Zumbach will serve on the subcommittee.

The Iowa Conservation Alliance and Iowa Bowhunters Association are registered against the bill.

The Iowa DNR and State Police Officers Council are undecided.
